Kunst

Dear readers,

Today I worked further on the 30/30 cm that I began yesterday. I don’t think it is finished, because it is still so ‘busy’ that I think it is too much.

But I am going to let it sit for a while, in stead of painting over it too soon which I do too often.

I like the Molotov marker a lot, by the way!

bye,

Simone

Speaking out of both sides of my mouth, I think both pressing pause and rushing ahead have value. I’m guessing that ‘rushing ahead’ is likely a key piece of what makes your art fresh and spontaneous.

Simone, I so love seeing what you’re up to in your studio every day! Your art taps my inner child on the shoulder each morning and I feel light and lighthearted and in the moment. Thank you!

Enjoyed your comment about pressing pause, so to speak, with this painting rather than too quickly painting over it.

Yes, that is something I really hve to learn. If I am not completely satisfied I tend to rush over it, in stead of just letting it sit, giving myself the opportunity to look at it, and wonder what it will need next.

By the way: say hi to your inner child of me!

      Bye,
      Simone
