Dear readers,
After a busy week I’m painting again. A new series of 20/20 on paper, in new colours: blue, red and yellow. This is the first layer of pencil and paint.
I’m not so sure about my colour choice yet, but since I am exploring all the new colours I’ll give it a try and see how I will escape from this quite primary colours on my paper.
I always like to have ‘something reddish’, ‘sommething yellowish’ and ‘something blueish’ on my palette. But this might be a little bit too much…
bye!
Simone

Superior thinking deastonrmted above. Thanks!
Hi Dotty,
Thanks!
Yes, this whole layering/veiling/scraping/covering-thing is nice, but I recognize the feeling of reluctance since you usually don’t know where you are going…
Simone, a new series! Fun! I’m so glad you posted this first layer of pencil and paint. You can be my teacher. I enjoyed and learned so much from my stripes series last week but found by week’s end that I was hankering for a larger format and a looser kind of painting experience. In particular I want to play more with layering/veiling/scraping/covering, all of which takes some intention and courage on my part because it doesn’t come naturally. However, with your fearless lead to follow, I hope to try my hand! Thanks!
Dotty
