Dear readers,
Today I worked further on the four paintings of 20/20 cm, and on the right you see a picture of them (the upper two are the most developed). It is always a surprise to me how much adding white and black change the painting.
I also used liquid quinacridone nickel azo gold (what a name!) again, which goes well with the diarilyde yellow. It kind of works like a glaze: because of alle the transparant yellow over the painting, it helps to make the painting more ‘together’. At least: that’s my first impression. I’m curious what the next step will be.

Simone, I’m also curious what the next step will be—the process is fascinating, and I’m especially enjoying the “slow-motion” effect of only seeing movement every 24 hours at your blog. I’ve started a similar series myself, and I have new appreciation for your process. This morning I have studied and studied the differences between your post yesterday and your post today—at times I gasp at your boldness in covering things up! You are a great role model for me. I hope to get to my studio today and borrow some of your boldness : )
