Dear readers,
Today I worked further on the big (100/100 cm) painting that I wrecked last Thursday (or so I thought). I started to put a whole lot of colours on it: and today I for the first time put also some colours on it that I thought would not ‘fit together’.
For instance: I used this really greyish blue together with the bright teal and turquoise. And the ‘earthy’ green together with the bright pink. And so on. I used much more colours that usual, and did not try to let them fit together.
To my surprise it gave an interesting tension between the colours. They clashed a bit, but because of that the colours became more interesting.
And I actually quite liked it! I did not strive to get a good composition, I just ‘bubbled’ along with the colourful circles. Just going on as I felt.
Thanks for watching this blog!

Thanks for your enthousiast reaction! I wish you a very good day in your studio!
It is always with great anticipation that I head to your blog to see what you’ve posted, especially after a weekend. Today, what fun to see how you ‘bubbled’ along with this painting that has taken you in many new directions, just going on as you felt. When I see your work, I feel open and curious about my own—so I get two gifts from you: your art, and your infectious curiosity. Thank you!
