Dear readers,
Today I worked on yesterday’s painting. But it was already so ‘nice’ that I found it hard to work further on it. I did not find it ‘completed’, but I did not know how to proceed. I have been there before. At a certain moment I got so irritated that I just ‘did’ something. I don’t think for the better, but I guess this is the way to get out of this impasse.
I think of it like this: this way, by not staying on the ‘safe’ side of painting pretty pictures, but pushing through to something I really love and find interesting, I learn a lot about this whole process. To get more and more flexibel, not staying in the mind, thinking my way out of it, but stay in the flow of the moment, in my body, painting on and on until it feels right.
Bye!
Simone

Say thanks to your granddaughter! There are lucky with such a grandma ;-)
Love having you as a ‘partner in crime’ in just DOing something and not staying on the safe side! Also love seeing your workspace—such WONDERFUL creative chaos.
I am in Virginia with my daughter and her family. My (nearly 10-year-old) granddaughter is admiring your art with me : )
