Today I started with the new assignment of Jane Davies, which is all about shapes.

The assignment is the following:

• Make ten drawings exploring shape as a primary element.  Here are a few suggestions
  and considerations, but feel free to create your own guidelines:
• Within one piece, vary the size of the shapes.
• Within one piece vary the techniques used to make the shapes.
• Try doing some using minimal color.
• Try some with only two or three shapes.
• Try one or two that are packed with shapes
• If you are also using line, make sure that it does not dominate the piece.
• If you are using pattern, make it secondary to shape as an element.
• You do not have to use all the techniques

I started with two out of ten. I drew shapes, coloured them with liquid acrylic, and then used negative shape by spraypainting white over it (with a mask).
