Dear reader,
Today was an example of how just starting and not giving up can lead to something fun. I started with the just discovered pastel crayon, and then put some liquid acrylics over it. It immediately looked spoilt and ready to throw away in the paper bin. But then I just continued, putting another layer over it, adjusting the painting, letting itself unfold. And: tada: something completely unexpected came out.
I am really happy with these kind of processes: just going on, not getting distracted by the thought that things are lost, following just the next step, and see when it feels complete.
Another lifelesson that I learn by painting…
bye!
Simone

Thanks Dotty! It is so funny: this time difference, that I am halfway the day while it’s still early for you!
Simone, I love following your experiments. My day is still early yet, and I am grateful to take your openness and life lesson into whatever unfolds for me this Tuesday. I was away the past four days and your painting helps to ground me in the here and now of finding myself back at home. The relative self-containment of this painting feels reassuring!
