Kunst

Dear readers,

As I am searching for new inspiration because of the start of the new painting season, I surfed around Pinterest, and my eyes were catched by a painting by a Danish painter called Mette Lindberg.

I watched some very interesting videos of hers, about how she is building up her paintings. I was very inspired by her using stencils and paint-tape. They give straight lines and that gives an interesting contrast with the more fuzzy brushstrokes that I usually make.

I also liked how she builds up many layers, without worrying about covering up so much again and again. It gives the painting depth and I like that. It also makes painting more fun!

So take a look at this video below.

Thanks, Mette!

Inspired by her I worked further on the mdf painting of yesterday. Not finished at all ;-)

Bye,

Simone

    Thank you!
No painting the rest of the week: kids at home – too busy! See you next week…

Love that you’re doing my online exploring for me! Great fun to watch the video you posted. Also great fun to see layers being added to your first painting of the new season. I look forward to watching its evolution.
