Dear readers,
Today I had not su much time, so I worked on two small pieces of wood, (pine or something like that). Approximately 10/13 cm, that is 4/5 “.
I really liked it, to work that small. Especially on wood: I had the possibility to really carve in it deeply with a knife. That is different from working on paper (and after that glueing it on wood panel). Every material invites its own kind of art.
I also put a photo of a detail, very close up: so you can see the texture of it.

Thanks so much Dotty, it was fun indeed! I am going to work more in wood, I think, get old planks of wood, sew (?) them in pieces, and start painting! It feels nice and solid, much easier than the mdf that I pinted on today (19 januari)
Simone, these pieces are vibrant and textured deeply. They convey a solid energy—I can feel the wood! They look great together, too; lively pre-school aged brothers. I am in awe that you created these in “not so much time”—awesome!
