Dear readers,
Today I continued working with soft pastel and liquid acrylics, nothing special, just trying out.
I realized again today how important it is to keep this daily creating very playful and simple, likeĀ kid that is sitting in the sandbox, no need to look pretty or make things that will make others ‘ooh’ and ‘aaah’. Create like nobody is watching! Creating for the process of it, for the fun of it.
If you do this for a while, beautiful things will pop up. But just the fun of scratching with pastel on paper, with seeing the colours merge, with choosing the next color to work with, to feel the liquid acrylic on your fingertips, that is the most important thing!
Have a beautiful and creative day!

Thanks Dotty!
Glad that I could write this post with you in mind!
“just the fun of scratching with pastel on paper, with seeing the colours merge, with choosing the next color to work with, to feel the liquid acrylic on your fingertips”: yes, yes, yes! I had just that kind of fun yesterday afternoon, while making a birthday card for my son Scott. I felt so free to take the card wherever it pleased me.
I continue to be so grateful for your blog posts, for both the beauty of your art and the heart of your thoughts.
