Kunst

Dear readers,

Today I worked for the first time on this format: 15/15 cm (6/6″).

I thought about it because I had a late start today, and I wanted to paint, but still wanted to get some other things done.

And I tried working with dripping and ‘splashing’? I dripped white fluid acrylic paint and Indian ink, after that drew with Indian ink. I was inspired by Jane Davies who is experimenting a lot with dripping these days. So nice to get inspiration from fellow artists!

bye!

Simone

I like the contrast provided by the different ways the watery ink and thicker paint behave. If you dilute the paint I’ll be interested to see what you discover.

    You’re welcome!
Indeed: they behave differently. The paint is more difficult. It is undiluted, so the drops are very thick and lay ‘upon’ the underlayer. Like little hills. I am not completely satisfied with it. Might try it diluted with water. But the experiment is nice!

Aha—you DID paint and post! Hooray! Terrific experiment with dripping and splashing. I like the differences in how the white fluid acrylic and the India ink behave. I like your use of simple shapes and limited palette. I feel inspired—thank you!
