Dear readers,
Today I worked further on ‘the big one’: 100/100 cm (40/40 inch).
It was such a mess that I did not know how to go further. But I was strenghtened by the blog of Nicholas Wilton (see yesterday), that you can always go further, you can always paint something over and there are always new possibilities. What a beautiful metaphor for life!
I painted over with a lot of blue, and suddenly those little creatures came into being.
I am not finished yet, so this is work in progress. And I felt myself getting a little bit ‘attached’ to the painting, which gives me less freedom to just paint on. Let’s see how this one will evolve!

Oh my gosh, this is such fun! I love the “tidy” grid-like feeling filled with “untidy” mischievous playful little creatures.
Again, I am heartened, and I need heartening b/c I am still in the messy middle of a painting that is trying desperately to come into its own but is taking its sweet time getting there!
