Kunst

Dear readers,

Today I continued to work on the third painting in neutrals (40/40 cm). I was surprised by what only a few marks with a acrylic marker can do! This morning I hardly touched paint (only a little bit of white to create white-on-white effects). And that was it!

bye!

Simone, a marker pen, fineliner, marking pen, felt-tip marker, felt-tip pen, or flow marker is a pen which has its own ink-source, and a tip made of porous, pressed fibers such as felt; markers of this sort began to be popularized with the sale of Sidney Rosenthal’s Magic Marker (1953). For years, ‘magic marker’ was the common generic term for all pens of this sort—and with the magic you performed on your painting today, we now know why!

I particularly like the upper left quadrant of this painting but, as always, it is the bigger context that creates/supports its appeal—in fact, I like the whole painting!
