Dear readers,

Today I worked further on one of the former paintings. Changing it very much! I did not like the busy-ness of it, but was afraid of wrecking it. But then I thought: it is only a painting, and I probably will learn more by being bold and just try something new, than from carefully preserving something that I don’t like for 100%.

So here below you see the development from yesterday to now, You can see that I have turned the canvas 90 degrees. The painting is NOT finished…

Thank you for visiting!

    Hi Dotty,

Yes, I guess that is what I felt: that is was so crowded and so much…
But it took a bit of ‘courage’ though to pick up a brush with white paint and just paint over one third of the painting ;-)

I am fascinated by the changes. I sit here looking and looking, having fun seeing the decisions you made. I like the hints of what lies underneath. Your painting has a very elemental feeling right now; it captures the mystery of all that lies beneath what we see in our day to day living. It also reminds me of the many ways in which we can take our cluttered day to day living—all the physical and psychological bits and piles and stuff and ideas—and pare it back to its essence and simplicity and clarity.
