Dear readers,
Today I worked very small, 15/15 cm (6/6″). On paper. Took me quite a while to cut all the paper, I prepared 8 of them.
Then I started with four together, using the colours that I like now: green, teal, pink and magenta, and quinocridone nickel azo gold as an underlayer. And white, grey and black.
I used black tissue paper to create the shapes, and crayon to create shapes and dots.
I am looking forward to what working on this format will bring me!
Simone

Thank you very much Dotty!
Yes, my paper is still wallpaper.
I think I will have enough until I retire. Or so.
I was thinking the same: isn’ it a pity that we just can’t fly over for an afternoon working in our studio’s?
All delicious—the colors, the shapes, the size of your paper, the texture of the tissue, the creative activity of your studio, the energy of the detail photos, the upbeat feel of today’s painting. Is your paper still wallpaper? Seeing your post makes me want (not for the first time!) to come play in your studio with you. Speaking of which, about a week ago, I dreamed that you flew to the US and we hung out in my studio. The dream closed as we were boarding a plane together to head to your studio in Nederland : )
