Kunst

Lieve lezers,

Dear readers,

Again a 20/28 inch painting with very bright colours. How can this be? Am I in my second puberty, or is this my true nature? Who knows?

Have a lovely day!

Simone

ps: inspired by Dotty Seiter I add three photo’s of the process down here

It’s great to see your process! The black does pop everything out, like Sheila mentioned. The colorful lines and little marks give it a very exuberant feel! It’s almost like the bits of your painting are moving around.

Simone, the bright pastel colors say Easter! spring! birthday party! unselfconscious laughter! You tap the exuberant child in me : )

Or maybe I am the little black llama running around having fun in the middle of all the color and circles and scribbles and freedom of movement!

I’m glad my sharing of process invited you to do the same. I love seeing where/how you began and where you went. Totally fascinating.

Yes, a little lama! I don’t know why all those creatures are coming back ;-)! It is really fun and unexpected, all those bright colours. Never had that before in my painting life…

      bye,

Your process shots confirm a suspicion I had. That your wild and wacky colors might be slightly less exuberant if not for the touches of black. As a black tie to a tuxedo… it makes the ensemble sing! Love your sense of fun!

      Hi Sheila! Thanks!
It’s nice that you say that (about the contrasts). Only now I look at the photo’s of the process better. Hadn’t thought about it that way, but of course you are right.
(And just looked up in the dictionairy what tuxedo means! ;-))

      bye,
      Simone
