Dear readers,
Today I wanted to start something new. Again on the format 6/8 ” (15/20 cm). I started with crayon (which is usually not such a good idea, because it is difficult to paint over the crayon. But I still wanted to try it out (did not work out that well). I just painted freely. Of course the same old shapes came in, but that does not matter.
I am doubting shall I explicitly try something really different? Or shall I not try at all, and just see what happens, even if that is the same kind of painting all the time?

Simone, great idea to try out something new—but that’s a bit of a self-serving comment since I can’t seem to stick to any one thing and I try something new all the time! This piece feels different because of more brown/black/gray than usual, too.
