Dear readers,
Today I worked again on a small format 15/20 cm, or 6/8″. I used three simple colours (Cobalt Turquoise, Quinacridone Nickel Azo Gold and Green Gold), and I used white for veiling. Have done that in the past quite a bit, and now came back to it. I like it!
I used very simple shapes, and black and white marker, and fin pencil lines.
Bye!
Simone

I think it is a wonderful idea!
I actually don’t know what the 100-layers thing is. I think there’s an IG page for it, but without any explanation there? In any case, I just decided to do 100 layers on my own : )
Thanks! Our themes are more or less the same right now, isn’t it? (Veiling and unveiling?)
I actually love this 100-layers-thing. Where can I find it? Maybe it is a nice experiment for me too!
Have a good weekend!
Simone, the veiling creates so much dynamism in your painting here. There’s a pulsing of energy between the veiled parts and the exposed elements. I especially like the upper left hand corner, the part that you focused on in your detail photo—I like the way the black lines ‘cut through’ some of the underlying shapes/colors. Also, nice balance of busy and quiet.
