Kunst

Dear readers,

Today nr. 3 in the row of four. I find it more easy to keep on working on the same theme when I already started a series with a defined numer. Before I never knew if I would start another one in the same series, or if I should start another theme. If I decide on beforehand that it’s going to be four, well: that makes it a lot easier.

I worked on both number 3 and 4, and finished only nr. 3.

I feel I more or less ‘spoilt’ number four by putting too much white on it, but slowly I have learned there is not something like ‘spoiling a painting.

One thing I learned of Nicholas Wilton recently is the importace of ‘risk’. That a painting that you paint without taking risk can turn out quite boring ;-)

So: taking the risk to spoil a painting might wel save the painting.

And now it is going too philosophical!

Back to other work, thanks for visiting, and have a nice day!

Simone

Simone, this series is spectacular! Now I love #3 along with #2 and #1!

    What draws me in:

    • the colors,
    • the contrasts in both color and texture (hardnesses, softnesses),
    • the layers, with the secrets and hints, and
    • the implicit daring risks.

You are my mentor with layering and risk-taking. THANK YOU!
