Kunst

Dear readers,

Yesterday a whole new box of (six) canvases arrived – I ran out of them.

Today I made a start with four (!) canvases. Just simply throwing colours around, making a first layer. I just felt like a kid in kindergarten, who has a huge piece of paper in front of it. I had also ordered new colours, so I could try some of them out.

I also made a start with ten (!) simple pieces of paper (for Jane’s course). Same recipe: throwing paint on paper, making a first layer. ‘Activatin the canvas’ as I hear people call it.

Since it is way too much work to take pictures of it (and since I have too little space here) I made a short video. First time!

bye, and thanks for reading all this!

Simone

    Thanks Dotty,

Indeed: my appointment in november gives me the energy to just go on. Hope it does not turn into the wrong kind of stress, but then I am just going to postpone it or only show a little bit of work.

Yes: it is also 40/40 inch

Simone, your playfulness and adventuring are so inspiring. Are your new canvases also large like your ‘pink’ one? Part of what I notice and like about your activation of your canvases/paper is that you don’t cover every inch with paint, but leave blank spaces if your brush doesn’t go there. I’m guessing your appointment in November is fueling your creative energy. In turn, you are fueling my creative energy!
