Dear readers,
Today no exercises of Jane Davies, but working further on the 1/1 meter canvas.
It is now officially in what people call ‘the awkward teenage fase’:
- It is definitely not finished
- But it is definitely not just at the beginning.
- I looks weird,
- and you wonder if this is ever going to grow up.
So: let’s wait till this one becomes an adolescent ;-)

I’d say if this is the awkward stage, this kid is getting off easy, looking pretty appealing in fact! What I’m loving here is that even though any one individual mark looks spontaneous, the work as a whole does not look random. It reads as both free and centered.
