Daily Painting: Trusting the Process

Daily painting

Dear reader,

Today I wrestled a bit with this one. Halfway I did not like what I saw at all. But more and more I don’t ‘complain’ about it, keep going and trust that something will come up to get this particular collage finished. And let it unfold all by itself. I hope I will be able to keep this attitude since it makes painting so much more fun. And effortless.

Simone, I am so grateful for your approach to painting. Reading your daily painting posts is a daily prayer.

This piece is less bright and contrasty than many of your pieces, but it has a very appealing hazy-summer-day feel to it.

Thanks, Dotty! I will probably include the process of this one in the online course since the process was very interesting – I was confused in the middle of it and came out of it without too much wrestling.
I also saw that the usual brightness was absent. Actually, afterward, I missed it a bit. But it’s still beautiful, I think so too.
