Dear readers,
Today, the same format, same colours, same size as yesterday.
Still, it felt like new again. Even though the parameters are more or less the same, everytime something surprising shows up. For instance: now it was the charcoal pencil that worked out well for me. Not such big heavy lines, like the neocolor II crayons that I use a lot, but a diferent, more refined quality. Also: the charcoal gives some resistance, so you get different lines.
There is less heavy black in it, so the whole painting feels lighter for me.
Now: back to work! Thanks for visiting, and have a nice day,
Simone

Thanks!
I just looked up ‘diaphanous’ in the dictionary. Yes, a beautiful word. I indeed also like the atmosphere of the painting. I’m happy with it.
Charcoal is indeed interested. It breaks in your fingers if you are not really careful. And it smears easily. So I have to put a layer of varnish over it.
Thanks again for your support,
Simone
Simone! Beautiful! This piece is so ethereal—delicate, light, diaphanous. And, again, you have created such an inviting sense of depth here. This piece is really magnificent. Stunning.
I have a set of charcoals, but on the rare occasion that I’ve used one, it hasn’t “spoken” to me. Now you have me interested in revisiting my charcoals.
