Dear readers,

I have been away for two weeks, and have been very inspired by the beautiful nature and rocks in the Ardeche, a department in the south of France. I have not been ‘directly’ inspired, in the sense that I now am painting cracks and rocky shapes and so on, but having been immersed in nature has ‘replenished’ me, and reminded me that the ‘Now’ is the only place to be.

I have not been thinking about ‘work’ and ‘painting’ at all, so I am sitting completely fresh behind my desk. What will happen? I have been re-reading ‘The Power of Now’ from Eckhart Tolle, this time in the original language, and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. So much in this book that applies directly to painting. I hope to write about it more soon.
