Dear readers,
Today, I thought: what new project am I going to start. And then I remembered that I yesterday put a lot of my old paintings in my shop. And a lot of them were very bright colored, and I loved looking at them, and I also remembered how much fun I had using all those colors.
Lately I’ve been painting with only very few colors (mostly turquoise and quinacridone nickel azo god). Which I love, because I love simplicity, and the many possibilities that using only few colors give.
But today, I decided to get all my ‘old’ bottles of paint out, and give myself permission to use all of them.
This is the result from day 1, tomorrow I’ll continue. I’ll also post a few close ups, and a photo of myself with all the brushes that I had to clean. That’s the disadvantage: much more work to clean ;-)!

PS:
A question: I used a ‘gallery module’ to show some of the details. Does that work, or would you prefer me to just post the details as a normal image?

Simone, the gallery model was very easy to use and gave me quick access to enlarged images.
I love your posts, love seeing your process—I feel (almost) as though I’ve stepped into your studio.
Thanks for your feedback about the gallery module. What I like about it, is that it gives easily access to enlarged images, just like you said. And it’s also easy to use, since I can upload more than one image at the same time. I think I’ll stick with it. Thanks!
Yes, I’m happy that people/you can step in my studio this way. It’s fun to share the process, and I hope otherpeople will feel inspired to get their paints out and create!
