Dear reader,
This day was one of those days that I thought: do I even feel like making art? I don’t have time; I don’t have any ideas, I don’t feel any enthusiasm.
But then I thought: come on, take ten minutes, and just do something. I did, and I liked it, the minute I was going. That’s the power of daily creativity.
I am in NEED of new art supplies. But I can’t seem to get the art groceries done. I try to buy everything at once (to avoid double shipping costs), but in reality, it means I postpone and postpone. I want to get it done THIS AFTERNOON. Otherwise I will get too frustrated. Actually: it’s a luxury problem. I’m glad I can buy them, and that they are made of such excellent quality. Remember the old masters who had to make their own paint from oils and eggs and pigments, and could not simply order their paint with one click.
Bye!

Look at the boldness and vibrancy you brought to life when you gave it the chance to express itself—wow! Have fun ordering your new supplies. Lucky we are to have access to them. At the same time, you got me to pause and think about how absorbing and creative it must have been to make one’s own paints.
Hi Dotty, I once knew a painter (Ulrikke Panhorst, I can’t find her on the internet anymore), who was making her own paint under my eyes: ticking an (organic :-)!) egg, and mixing it with pigments. It was fascinating!
