Daily Painting: Contrasting Shapes

Daily painting

Dear reader,

What I liked today were the contrasting shapes on the right side and the blue dots on top. I more and more appreciate dividing the collage making process in two: on the one hand the making of the collage paper, on the other hand, the collage making itself. They are both so much fun, and together they can make something beautiful. (That’s what my online course is all about, but you probably know that by now ;-))

Bye!

Today I notice your use of solid-color collage contrasted with busy multi-color collage, a pattern of large dots across the top bringing elements of the piece together, and overall depth of layers. I am also appreciating your two-part collage-making process. All good!!!

You were very keen to notice that, Dotty! Indeed, I am (subconsciously) playing with incorporating more ‘silent’ stuff in the collages. Difficult not to stuff it full of dots and so on. I’m learning đŸ˜‰
