Daily Painting: More Diaralyde Yellow and Cobalt Turquoise

Daily painting

Dear reader,

Today, I made another painting in my diary. It’s a miracle what you can do with only two colors!

I realized the importance of working process-oriented again. I believe more and more that’s the only way of developing your art. If you work product-oriented, you get disheartened because the painting does not always work out as you want. On the contrary, if you work process-oriented you enjoy the process and learn along the way. If something works out: nice! If something works out not so well: that’s okay too. It’s another stepping stone.

Working in a diary helps in this regard. Going through the diary makes the path very clear.

Bye!

Those greens and grays, those turquoise crayon scribbles : )

How big are the pages of your diary?

I know! The colors surprise me too. There is a whole world waiting for us in color mixing.

The size is a little bit bigger than A4 (which is approximately letter size?). It is a spiralbound book, made for gluing foto’s or for children’s drawings.
