Dear reader,
Today I continued with the same format. It does not cost a lot of time, which is good for me right now, but it is also an interesting experiment how much I can do within the same domain of simple colors and materials.
This working within restraints is very freeing and also very much fun.
Bye!
Simone
Yes, I like that too. I guess it is partly because of the workings of shadow, but also because of a thicker layer, and also because it mixes with black. For me, this very dry-brushed black is (kind of) a new discovery.
Simone, I value your experimenting with how much you can do within the same domain of simple colors and materials. It is instructive to me and inviting. No two pieces are the same, and yet they both stay in one family and carry your fingerprint, so to speak. In the detail you posted at the bottom left, I particularly like the way the quin gold moves from bright and burnished to dark and tarnished.
