Daily Painting: Mixing only two colors

Daily painting

Dear reader,

Today I continued painting with only two colors. It is interesting to see that painting with only two colors gives so many possibilities. Mixing those two colors offer endless possibilities, from pure blue, to pure yellow, and all the greens, greys, blue-greens etcetera in between.

I know from one artist (her name is Line Juhl Hansen, I’m a huge fan of her work), she tells in a youtube video that she only uses three colors in all of her work. I think that is amazing, and I want to try it out once. (There is no recent work on Line’s website, but I LOVE the work that you can find there).

Bye!

Simone

    I like your two-colors-only studies! Perhaps that’s where I’ll go next : )

It is so much fun and simple. I thought I always needed at least three colors. Something reddish, something yellowish and something blueish (if you can say that). But this seems to work too!
