Today I made my first bookmark!
I could have been inspired much earlier by my friend Dotty Seiter, she makes heaps of them. She even makes them to match them with certain bookcovers. I believe that’s such a splendid idea – why wouldn’t your precious books get an old piece of newspaper or a flyer from the nearby restaurant as a bookmark?
I like the ‘portrait’ direction of the bookmark. Long and thin, upright.

ps: it turned out that I can not upload such a long, small upright photo on my computer. Very frustrating! The only solution I have is that you turn your head to the left!

I am able to post my bookmark photos in portrait orientation at my blog but, to post on IG’s square format and do justice to my bookmarks, I also take a screen shot of my bookmarks with white space to the left and right. Take a look at my IG feed. Let me know if you have questions.

I just created a photo with a brown background. Works ok I think, and is less confusing than a white or black background.
