Daily painting: It doesn’t have to be perfect

Kunst

Dear reader,

Today I tried something that did not turn out that well, I think. I dropped white paint over the paper, turned the page around and pressed it on the underlying piece of paper. All sorts of circle-like shapes arose. They were nice, but after all the painting became very busy. It is not the best piece, but still, it is okay. It’s just my daily painting ;-)

    Thanks, Dotty!
Since the paintings are made on copy paper, they are flimsy. I don’t through them away though. I do keep them in a drawer, who knows what use they might have in the future? Maybe they will get a second chance as collage material. I don’t know yet.

Simone, your spirit of don’t-know/what-if/let’s-see is so freeing and inviting. Thank you for painting and posting no matter what.

When you think your daily painting doesn’t “turn out that well,” what do you do with that painting? Do you ever choose to try something else with it on a different day?
