Dear reader,
Today a next layer on the fourth painting.
It’s interesting: two paintings of mine have turned out quite ‘white’ – a lot of negative shapes with white around it. Now this new one doesn’t have that, until now.
It’s a funny experience that part of me wants to make them ‘even’, so add a lot of white to this one too. But the painting does not seem to want to go in that direction, at least not now yet. I’m wondering what’s coming next!
It seems that I have more respect for ‘the soul of this painting’. It’s easier when you think that a painting has a life of its own, that both of you (me, the painter, she, the painting) are dancing. Sometimes this one’s in the lead, sometimes the other.
Bye!
Simone

Simone, this stage has radiant warmth. Love the detail photo that allows me to step closer to see and ‘touch’ more than from a distance. I continue to enjoy your discussion of process.
Thank you! I also enjoy the warmth of the colors. And it’s fun indeed to see some newspaper shining through in the detail!
