Daily Painting: Six Paintings, day 18

Daily painting

Dear reader,

Today is the third day of December, a new period.

I divide the year in three ‘blocks’ of about 13/14 workweeks, and for every block I set a specific goal that I want to reach. In the former block (it ended last Friday) I created my beloved online course about collage making. If you haven’t already, subscribe to the free video series about it! ;-)

I am so happy to be back at painting big again. I have been working on the third big painting today, adding lots of white. Below I’ll show photo’s of today and the last version (which was weeks ago).

I’m not sure what my next creative project will be (this afternoon is for making plans), but I’ll keep you posted!

What a gift to have email notification of your blog post today in the top position in my inbox and your instagram post at the top of the page in my feed! So wonderful to see how your large painting is progressing and to hear about your transition from one block of the year to the next. The white space juxtaposed against pops of color pulls me towards this painting, as does a feeling of intuitive expression through paint.

Thanks, Dotty, I’m excited too (and in the middle of writing an e-mail to you ;-))
