Today another ‘six-paintings’ day! I really enjoyed jumping in the process, and following my impulses. It’s still messy, but also a pattern, a design is starting to emerge.
I’m silently hoping for some more ‘interesting’ design as always those dots and round shapes, but I guess I’m not ‘there yet’ ;-).
In the meantime, I’m enjoying my dots!

I LOVE watching this painting emerge, Simone. And, I appreciate your discussion of process—I love hearing that you follow your impulses, you notice what is emerging, you see familiar patterns that you wish might become something less familiar and more ‘interesting,’ but you let the painting keep emerging by following your impulses no matter what they might be.
How much time did you take in your studio today?

It usually does not take up much time. Maybe half an hour? 3/4 of an hour? I don’t have much more time, and even if I had, this feels fine for me right now.
