Dear reader,

Today I wasn’t particularly pleased with the outcome (it became quite messy because I was too impatient to let the matte medium (the glue) dry properly). But I liked the spirit of experimentation that I happened to have this morning: I just stumbled along – this isn’t working, okay, let’s try that.

Another thing: I am always struck by the effect that using both the ends of the value spectrum (black and white) has on a painting.
