Daily Painting: Substrate = Newspaper II

Daily painting

Dear reader,

Today I did another experiment with newspaper as a substrate. I really enjoy working like this! It all feels very flimsy and thin, but if I’m going to mount it on panel, it doesn’t matter – it makes it even easier, I think.

I plan to make a whole series of at the least four of these small 6/6″ (15/15 cm) collages, only using two colors.

Bye!

Simone, this piece is totally fun! I like the graphic elements of the newspaper, and the varied levels of transparency/opacity/color you’ve used to veil and reveal. The interplay of hand-drawn orbs and stamped circles also catches my eye happily. Can’t wait to see your series!

Yes, I love them too! They are lying on the ground next to me, and everytime I see them I have to smile ;-)
