Daily Painting: Two Stages

Daily painting

Dear reader,

Today I was too much in a hurry – I will be out of office for two weeks, too much things to do. I made a quick collage anyway. Did not like it that much, so halfway I glued a piece of black tissue paper over it. Did not like that one either too much, but it is interesting to see what the difference is 😉

bye,

Your post spoke directly to me—to the experience of not liking what emerges on my canvas, taking a next step, not liking that very much either, but noting what the differences are. It’s so helpful to be one degree removed, seeing YOUR paintings and not my own!

I’ll miss you while you’re out of office for two weeks but I’ll enjoy knowing that you are in a completely different rhythm from usual, soaking up all that the changed patterns have to offer.

Thanks, Dotty! I will indeed be in a completely different surroundings, hopefully enjoying nature. I will be in an environment with lots of fissures, as you called them ;-). Hope to get inspired by them.
