Dear reader,
Today I started with a layer of neutral color on my postcard. I created this color by mixing Magenta, Turquoise and Nickel Azo Gold, and White.
I liked to start with a neutral layer, and I was surprised how well the top layer with patches of collage paper that were made from bright colors only (no mixing with white, no mixing with each other, only glazing). Interesting experiment. It is going to make it to my online course, most probably.
Bye!
I appreciate being reminded that I can mix my own neutrals—sometimes I just plain forget! Further, I like that you mixed your neutral from the same bright colors you would use for contrast pops as you developed your postcard.
Thank you for today’s mini-lesson, my favorite kind of lesson!
Yes, neutrals are the ones that I tend to forget, too, and they indeed blend beautifully with the brighter colors that they are made of.
