Dear reader,
Today I have been working on another study on simple paper, using two colors only. My beloved Golden Quinacridone Nickel Azo Gold, and Amsterdam Turquoise Green (Teal). And black and white of course.
It is so interesting what you can do with using two colors only. Limiting myself gives space to a lot of possibilities. I am planning to explore this more, also using other techniques. To be continued!
bye,
Simone

Yes… But having lots of stuff is of course also very good. To just can immerse yourself in colors and materials. That is the other sign of the coin ;-)
Now you’ve got ME thinking more about limits and freedom. You would laugh at how much art stuff I brought to camp! Maybe I might plan right now to bring LIMITED supplies next year : )
Thanks!
I am thinking a lot lately how interesting it is for ‘beginners’ to start with very few materials. You don’t get overwhelmed with all the possibilities that painting offers. And when you feel free with few materials you slowly can add more. The freedom comes first! And too many choices might stifle one.
What fun to work within such narrow color limits—and what fun to see how rich and intricate your study is! Awesome!
