The Daily Planner

Here you will find your free daily planner.
This is the core of my book The Dreamer Who Does, you can read about the book here.
This planner helps you stay focused and get things done – but the most important part always remains: being in the Here and Now. Wherever you go, there you are.

It’s free because I want everyone to experience the clarity of a day you truly look forward to – a day where you can start on things that are valuable to you, for yourself and for the world.

The planner consists of different sections:

Focus

This section is about the start of your day. If you start your day well, it sets quality and color for the rest of it.

Morning Ritual

It’s very worthwhile to design a morning ritual for yourself – one that benefits you and helps you begin the day with a good mindset, so you’re truly ready.

Quality to Cultivate

This is a topic you won’t find in most planners. As the name suggests, it’s about a quality you want to focus on that day. Think perseverance, patience, trust, and so on.

Main Project or Goal

At The Dreamer Who Does we work with a main project or main goal. Once every 90 days (or another timeframe), you choose a main goal or project to really focus on.  If you don’t want to work on a goal spanning several weeks or months, you can also simply write down the main goal for that day.

Note: You can choose whether to work with a main project or a main goal. The distinction is subtle: a main project focuses on the process, a main goal focuses on the outcome. Choose what feels right for you.

Goals | Tasks | Notes

This section is divided into three parts:

Goals
First, there’s space for daily goals: write down three smaller goals you want to achieve that day. These can support your main goal or simply be other goals important to you. You don’t have to choose three – one is enough! Just make sure not to set too many goals in one day, or you risk feeling stressed.

Tasks
Next is a space for tasks. Here you write the practical steps needed to reach your goals. Think of a goal as the point on the horizon, and tasks as the smaller steps to get there. Keep tasks small enough to actually check them off. Want to know more about goals and tasks? Read about the 90-day program here.

Notes
Finally, there’s space for notes. Use it to capture thoughts, ideas, or reminders that don’t fit under goals or tasks. Maybe a conversation insight, a creative idea, or a reflection to keep for later.

Make it Your Own

The spaces for Goals, Tasks, and Notes are separated by thin lines. This keeps them distinct, but if you need more room for notes, you can simply use less space for tasks. The planner is flexible. You can also use the sections to separate personal and work tasks. Use them however feels most comfortable and useful for you.

Check-In

At the start, during, or end of the day, check in with yourself: how are you doing?

Gratitude
Here you can note what you’re grateful for.

Habits
Track the habits you’re working on.

Mood
Check in with your mood – either at the start of the day or later, whichever you prefer.

Energy
Rate your energy on a seven-point scale. Were you tired, or did you feel energized and productive?

Body Movement
Movement matters for your mood, health, and energy.

Progress on Goal

Link this back to your main project or goal. How much progress did you make?

The Planner

On the right-hand side, you’ll find the actual daily planner. The day is divided into half-hour blocks from 6 AM to 10 PM. Lighter lines make it easier to write across multiple slots.

Reflection

Extra space is provided for reflection.

Wins and Insights
What worked today? What did you learn? This can include things that didn’t work – what lessons came from them?

Notes for tomorrow
Write down reminders for tomorrow. The next day, you can see what you wanted to note for yourself.
