Dear readers,
Today, I made another business card. Nothing more, nothing less ;-).
What’s new (since yesterday), is the purple color. I’ve never been so much into purple, but today, I mixed it from Magenta and Turquoise, and white. I like the contrast between the turquoise crayon and the purple paint.
Have a beautiful and creative day!

Well! I learned a bit from your investigation of the expression “my neck of the woods,” an expression I’ve known and used for most of my life without ever thinking about its origin!
And thank you for your closing words in Dutch : )
Yes, it’s fun isn’t it? How words and languages all hang together! Even some Sanskrit words found their way into Dutch, for instance. The word ‘Atman’ (something like ‘Spirit) is more or less the same as the German word ‘Atmen’ for breath, in Dutch ‘adem’. I find all these things endlessly interesting.
Simone, the bright joy of your business card lit up the gray morning in progress here in my neck of the woods—I noticed the purple and its contribution of contras, complexity, and festivity immediately.
Thanks! Yes, the purple is fun, isn’t it?
I immediately googled ‘my neck of the woods’. Found this entry in ‘The Guardian’: https://www.theguardian.com/notesandqueries/query/0,5753,-22668,00.html%E2%80%8E. At the end somebody writes, that ‘the neck’ could be etymologically related to ‘Meine Ecke’, meaning ‘my corner’ in German. Which is related to ‘mijn hoekje’ in Dutch (pronounce as something like: book-ya).
Okay: so from me to you: veel groeten uit mijn hoekje van de wereld.
