Kunst

Dear readers,

Today I did two things (was maybe too much: my other work gets less space and the whole day is under pressure. Good to know for next time):

I made another 20/20 cm (now with two other colours as background (Golden fluid acrylics; cobalt turquoise and green gold). I actually did not like so much the quite hard colour green that came out of it. I put on top of that crayon. It was okay, but I was not really inspired. But: just trying out things, that is never bad.

And then the other one was 30/30, on wallpaper. Felt quite big for me after all this working on 20/20. Wasn’t so comfortable either. I was more busy with ‘composition’ in stead of painting free flowing, and let the composition simply arise. But: does not matter. Again: just trying.

Interesting: I did not like the black and white so much on the second painting. But when I make close ups, I find the black and white parts (the high contrast) the most interesting. Something to ponder about. (ponder? does that word make sense in this context?)

Have a nice day!

Simone

Simone, these paintings feel so light of heart, so upbeat! I found the turquoise-green refreshing, like new shoots in spring. Love your close-ups, once again. The black and white offer appealing contrast to each other and to other colors in their neighborhood.

” just trying out things, that is never bad”—YES to that!
