Today I had very little time, I had an early appointment. So I painted today only in black and white, not so much stuff to clean up. I made six small studies on simple copy paper. I used acrylics, pencil, crayons and Indian ink.
I was inspired a bit by the video’s of Nancy Hillis (I am not sure if you still can access them). I was also inspired by Jane Davies, who always insists on working in series, and aiming for quantity in the first place (from there quality will arise).
I started with a very large brush (8 cm wide or so), That makes really strong marks. After that I used fine lines or drips from the Indian Ink, and used white crayon to make the dots and marks.
Thank you for reading!

Yes, actually it was already a bit too much. But indeed: I worked quickly, intuitively. Much less constricted as the days before. That’s the blessing from not having time ;-)
The circled white dots are white crayon.
Surprise: black and white! I love seeing what you create on days when you have only a little time. And I’m so impressed that you used your very little time to generate SIX studies—I’m sure I would have thought: very little time = small paper, one quick study. Instead, you make six, which is a terrific idea because you probably work much more intuitively. I especially like the circled white dots (fingerprints?) in #6 above (the one you feature in the closeup at the top of your post).
